SecSignerServer

is a server application for

  • automatic electronic signature generation and
  • automatic signature and document encryption.

SecSignerServer Overview

The Java based server application (software) SecSignerServer generates qualified electronic signatures automatically. SecSignerServer allows for parallel handling of several smart card readers and generates signatures based on directories.

SecSignerServer monitors directories configured by the administrator. Applications may store documents in these directories and trigger the signature for these documents using semaphores. In addition, SecSignerServer can encrypt signed data and/or send signatures and documents to corresponding recipients by e-mail. Eventually, signatures and documents may be moved to a target directory structure.

Mass signatures

SecSignerServer uses smart cards and/or software keys to generate electronic signatures. Smart cards should support mass signatures (i.e. several signatures may be generated using a single PIN entry).

Supported signature formats are:

  • CMS (PKCS#7) SignedData
  • Adobe  PDF signatures

Electronic invoices and EU directive 2006112EC

The authenticity and integrity of electronic invoices can be ensured using advanced electronic signatures according to EU directive 2006112EC. SecSignerServer may used to generate such signatures and can easily be integrated into existing invoice workflow solutions.

The invoice's recipient can validate the invoice's authenticity by verifying its signature using a signature application component such as our client component SecSigner free of charge. No user software installation is necessary at the recipient's side.

Encryption

SecSignerServer encrypts signed data for the respective encryption certificates are provided.

SecPKI Server

Our server component SecPKI-Server encompasses all features offered by SecSignerServer. In addition, SecPKI-Server includes user, client, certificate and trust center service administration features, and offers an SMTP interface to sign, encrypt, decrypt and verify e-mails and e-mail attachments.
